I probably don’t have to tell you how fond I am of OPI, but I will again. They have, hands down, the best polish out there. Most professionals use it for a reason. They have made improvements in the design of their brushes so that you can do a more beautiful job at home as well, OPI polish is very worth spending a few more dollars on. This collection will be released February 6, 2008 - so be watching for it at your local salons!

I love these colors in the Dashing Diva Italian Ice collection - this might be a blue polish that is wearable for me. I don’t do orange, though (saw those horns off!). They are:

Paparazzi Pink – A sheer, luminescent hot pink shade

View from Anacapri – a sheer, shimmery sun-dappled, light turquoise shade
Fellini Bellini – A sheer, luminescent peach-fuzz shade

1. Buff your nails - with a 4 way buffer and some oil (Solar Oil is great, but open your cabinets - olive oil is really my favorite). This will take off the top layer of your nails though, so if your nails are weak, this isn’t a great option.
2. Bleach your nails - use a lemon cut in half, and squoosh your nails around in it and leave it to dry for a few minutes. Another alternative is to soak them for a bit in some hydrogen peroxide. These are a little harsh, so if your nails are peely and dry, this is not a good option.
3. Paint them until the yellow grows out - and be sure and use basecoat!!

I always look forward to the newest collections from OPI - they are really my all time favorite polish. From the colors, to the durability to the ergonomic design, OPI is the master. This season, here is what they are offering:

As you can see, the last three colors are accompanied by lipliners and lipsticks. OPI lipsticks have traditionally been quite good, although I really have for the most part quit using traditional lipsticks in favor of the long lasting liquid formulas, but if you are one who must have your lips match your nails, you can’t go wrong with OPI. Hmm…no blue in this collection. What is a fashionista to do?

Here is the ultra fab Beth Ditto from The Gossip sporting some turquoise nails as she parties with Perez on his birthday at Moon in Vegas last night - whatcha think? Is the blue nail thing good or bad? It is sort of growing on me…
