[...] I finally got my hands on this product yesterday - if you are unaware of what it is, Instant Manicure is nail polish, partially dried in strips, that you apply to your nails almost like stickers. I will go ahead and say that I am coming into this as a big skeptic as a 20-yr nail tech, so I am not expecting much, even though I have heard quite a few rave reviews. [...]

I am a major klutz when it comes to doing my own nails so just go for manicures when I want my nails to look nice. I used to go once a week but now that I have my baby, I don't have time to get them done AND wait for them to dry. So you can imagine I was so psyched when I heard about this product. I just got them and put them on last night. They were a little tricky to apply because the strips are very thin and you have to be careful about applying them. You can't really rearrange them. You also need to make sure you smooth it out well because you might get bumps.

It's funny because they smell of nail polish. I got a beigey color and it's very natural looking. Very shiny which I love.

Overall, I liked them because my nails look SO much better than when I do them myself but of course it's not as nice as when a professional does them. It does take a little while to apply them but I LOVE that you don't have to wait for them to dry.

I recommend trying them at least once but wish they were priced a little lower.

If you want to buy them, just go to Avon.com to buy online or to find a representative in your neck of the woods.

Miss Christina, I have been wondering the same thing since I sat across from an AVON rep. at a local craft fair I was a vendor at. She grabbed people as they passed basically demanding that they try it out and she boasted that hers lasted 3 weeks without a scratch or chip.

I'm not sure I want to fork over the $8 unless I know from someone I trust that it really works.
