What absolute rot. A good nail tech eagerly shares as he/she wants their client to enjoy good, healthy nails and for fellow techs to ensure that their clientele do too. Not all of us work from lack as you imply. As for trade secrets, I have yet to read of any on this blog. What I see is just plain (and good) commonsense and you don't have to be a nail tech to have this.
